Food Bank
Many people are surprised to learn that there are people in Niagara-on-the-Lake who rely on the services of our food bank to increase their food security. Yet Newark Neighbours has been operating since 1971 and, as the only food bank serving Niagara-on-the-Lake, is still a vital service to our clients.
All our food bank clients must be residents of the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, whose boundaries include the Old Town, Virgil, Niagara on the Green, St. David’s, Queenston, and everywhere in between.
Our service relies entirely on the generosity of our community: on volunteers' time, food donations, donations of food and money, and donations to our thrift store. Donations and the profits from the store provide sufficient resources to offer food bank clients a selection of groceries every two weeks, plus special holiday meals. When possible, we also provide limited food supply support to other local food banks.
DONATE MONEY
Newark Neighbours gratefully accepts donations online, or by cheque. All donations support provision of services to residents of the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Monetary donations of $25 or more will receive a tax receipt. For more information, please contact us.

We welcome donations of non-perishable food, and essential household items. Please bring them to our Thrift Shop during open hours.
